Our kids bjj competition team is available to any of our kids BJJ students that express an interest, show dedication and reach a level of proficiency through regular attendance.
Brazilian Jiu-jitsu competition is not for every kid, but our BJJ kids that do compete feel more confident about their abilities and their ability to deal with fear and pressure. Our BJJ kids also learn how to cope with winning and losing which is an important part of life.
Baltimore Martial Arts now has a special Kids BJJ class (ages 3-6) on Saturday mornings 11:30-12:30 where kids and parents can train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu together. The class is totally for the kids, but moms and dads are encouraged to come out on the mat and help. Parents are not required to participate nor are they required to wear a uniform if they do. This format is really fun for the whole family. BJJ skills taught are applicable to home practice which helps kids retain the skills and also keeps them motivated to continue learning and coming to class. Mom and Dad have a lot of fun too.
