Learn three traditional Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu techniques that work!

Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu is predominantly a Northern Style of Kung Fu which is known for its long range fist attacks and high powerful kicks, however Tien Shan Pai also incorporates techniques from popular Southern Styles like Southern Praying Mantis and White Crane, and internal styles such as Ba Gua, Tai Chi & Hsing I. Tien Shan Pai also includes Chin Na, the self defense art of seizing and trapping in close quarters. This eclectic blending of styles makes Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu a very effective and adaptable style suitable to all body types and urban situations.

Tien Shan Pai Kung fu combines “soft” and “hard” styles, with both “long reach” and “short reach” techniques. A Tien Shan Pai kung fu practitioner incorporates a fighting strategy of feinting and striking along with redirectional blocks and angular attacks, making Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu a very effective and form of self-defense. The Double Block is an excellent example of Tien Shan Pai methodology. If one defensive block fails, the second block can cover.

Good Kung Fu hand techniques incorporate strategic footwork. Proper footwork is essential to countering attacks and is often overlooked and misunderstood by many traditional styles. Power and strength is important, but one must also have mobility and evasiveness which are corner stones of Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu. Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu uses angular footwork and lateral movement along with swift “hidden” steps to trick the opponent.

Anyone can learn Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu. With hard practice, perseverance and regular attendance, great Kung Fu skill can be learned.
